What to include in a book review:

WHAT TO INCUDE IN A BOOK REVIEW:
1. The book’s bibliography information in proper format: Author, last name first. Title in italics. Publisher location: Publisher, copyright date.
2. Your book rating - 1-5 stars
3. Brief description of the plot.
4. What you liked or disliked about the book.
5. Why?
6. Additional information that other readers might want to know.

Example:
Hughes, Mark Peter. Lemonade Mouth. NY: Delacorte Press, 2007.
5 Stars
A group of high school students thrown together in detention form a band to play at a school talent show and end up competing with a wildly popular local rock band.
I liked this book because it was funny, but seemed true to life. I thought most students could identify with the students in this book.
It was also fun because it was set in RI.

RI Teen Book Awards

Mrs. Gilbert, Mrs. Murgo and I have been busy reading the RITBA nominees this summer.
I've read Scat, Red Blazer Girls and Juvie 3. Eigth graders have to read four RITBA nominees in order to vote for the best RI teen book. All of the nominees look pretty good. I'm eager to see what the students think.

    Sounds like fun! I love to read; I am currently finishing up a book titled, Cole... I Love You to the Moon and Back by Aaron Ruotsala. It is truly an inspirational book that will leave you with a lasting impression. Have you ever heard of it?
