What to include in a book review:

WHAT TO INCUDE IN A BOOK REVIEW:
1. The book’s bibliography information in proper format: Author, last name first. Title in italics. Publisher location: Publisher, copyright date.
2. Your book rating - 1-5 stars
3. Brief description of the plot.
4. What you liked or disliked about the book.
5. Why?
6. Additional information that other readers might want to know.

Example:
Hughes, Mark Peter. Lemonade Mouth. NY: Delacorte Press, 2007.
5 Stars
A group of high school students thrown together in detention form a band to play at a school talent show and end up competing with a wildly popular local rock band.
I liked this book because it was funny, but seemed true to life. I thought most students could identify with the students in this book.
It was also fun because it was set in RI.

Textbook

Ah - a rainy evening and a perfect night to settle back with a good book. Tonight's, and most of the weekends reading, will be the textbook for the class I'm taking. It is by Will Richardson and has the very appropriate title, Blogs, Wikis, Podcasts and Other Powerful Web Tools for Classrooms. It looks like it is chock-full of more detailed info on some of the sites and resources that we have been using in class. Will report more tomorrow.

  4. Gregg I was hoping I would see what you thought of the book. I am beginning it tonight and hope to devote most of tomorrow to it although I do not do my best this way as I need time to digest the material. I'm also helping Lindsey with her curriculum unit on cooking. Time to get busy! See you Monday.
